Signs of Christmas

Xmas carols in the shops? No. Endless rounds of office parties? Nah. The ‘ching-ching’ of cash registers? Nup. Coloured lights? Uh-uh.

Here are just a few of my signs of Christmas I saw today in Nangara…
Eastern Billabongfly -I think?
Prickly Currant-bush
Swordgrass Butterfly
Victorian Christmas-bush

Seasonal best wishes to all.

  3. Happy Christmas Mr Gouldiae!

Nice picture of the prickly currant too, is it very close up or much bigger leaves than our local variant? I don't think the biggest leaves on ours would be any bigger than 4 or 5mm long.

  4. Thanks PB,
    Same to you and Emma.
Yes, the Coprosma quadrifida can have irregularly sized leaves.

  5. Looks like a much more enjoyable day than it would have been spent with the crowds in stores. The butterfly is beautiful. Merry Christmas.
