Heyfield Birdwatchers June 2013

G’day,
8 brave, (foolhardy?), souls defied the weather forecast and headed east. Some impressions of the day included …
Nice numbers of Eastern yellow Robins.
A grey and swollen Mitchell River but not ‘running a banker’.

Heaps of Red-browed Finches.
Acrobatic Silvereyes.

Birdwatchers neck-ache.

The machine gun call of the Lewin’s Honeyeater echoing up the gully.
Green, green, green – mosses, lichens, ferns, vines, pittosporum, kurrajongs.

Nargun not at home – again!

Coffee and cake at the Ticklish Turtle.
Regards,
Gouldiae.
