'Casual Water'

Definition: A temporary accumulation of water on the golf course. In other words, a lake is not casual water, but a puddle of rainwater (that will disappear once the sun comes out) is.



G'day,
At last, some rain! 30mm in a storm last night. Alright, alright you NQ'ers, if there was another zero on that you might be impressed. I'll take 30mm any day.

Here's a piece of course infrastructure that hasn't been used in a while ...


Gotta go, the mowers will need sharpening now.

  4. Hello Gouldiae,

    The Hunter Valley and Northwest Plains (NSW) have had a good share of the rain, too. I had the chance to visit the semi-arid Pilliga district over the weekend, and I have never seen it look so lush. This is of course due to the Christmas flooding of the region, and now some follow up rain must be very welcome.

    I don't have lawns on your scale to attend to, but still, I will have to get my mower working too.
