Matty's Moon

G'day,
Birds are scarce, so here's another moon shot.


This phase is referred to as '90% waxing gibbous', which means about 90% of the left portion of the moon is visible and growing.

    My moon didn't have any Monkey-sounding name, though!

    Good one. He's going to grow up thinking nothing of the fact that pop can post him a picture on a computer screen. How far we've come!

    Ah, we have something in common. Yeah, funny word eh? Gibbous - protuberant, humpbacked, or the lunar version, convex on both sides. The adverb gibbously would make a great 9 letter word puzzle, as in The Age.
